My recent weekend stay at Hotel Asturias in Cafayate was nothing short of delightful. Nestled in a beautifully preserved old building, this charming hotel is perfectly situated mere meters from the bustling central plaza, making it an ideal base for those keen to explore the local bars, restaurants, and attractions. Our spacious room was tastefully adorned, featuring elegant wooden floors and a fantastically comfortable queen-size bed draped in cozy llama wool blankets-perfect for a restful night's sleep. The hotel's cleanliness was commendable; I was particularly impressed with the immaculate housekeeping standards. Breakfast was a treat, offering a generous buffet with fresh fruits, cold cuts, and bread rolls that fueled our adventures well into the day. We also appreciated the friendly staff, who were always eager to provide assistance, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that enhanced our experience. With the added bonus of free parking, outdoor pool access, and proximity to stunning natural sites like the Rio Colorado Waterfall, Hotel Asturias truly caters to active travelers.
